Michael also oversaw the creation of programs such as New York Alerts, the Critical Infrastructure Suspicious Activity Reporting system for the State, as well as ensuring that hundreds of millions of dollars went to state and local first responders to make our city and state safe.
In addition, Senator Balboni served on transition teams for both President Obama and Governor Cuomo. In addition to his responsibilities as a Board of Advisors member with Homeland Security Management Institute – Long Island University (HSMI), he is a Senior Fellow with the Homeland Security Policy Institute (HSPI) at George Washington University and serves on the Spending and Government Efficiency (SAGE) Commission. Most recently, Michael was appointed to the NYS Respond Commission that is tasked with finding ways to ensure that New York State is ready to respond to future weather-related disasters.
Mike Balboni received a Bachelor's degree from Adelphi University and earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from St. John's University School of Law.
