The 36-credit M.S. in Accounting is designed for students and professionals who have completed an undergraduate accounting degree and who seek to enhance their technical and professional skills through completion of an advanced degree in accounting.
In today’s complex world, the impact of accounting plays a crucial role in how companies structure business transactions. The M.S. in Accounting provides a body of knowledge of the principles and the doctrines of accounting that prepare graduates to participate in the business decision-making process. Whether working in private industry or public accounting, earning the M.S. in Accounting is sure to increase your value in the workplace or in the job market.
The program, which is registered with the New York State Education Department and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, stresses real-world learning that prepares you to become a knowledgeable and well-rounded accounting professional. You will learn from professors who are experienced and respected professionals and who bring their day-to-day experiences to the classroom. In addition, CPAs can earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits by enrolling in selected Graduate Accounting Courses.

In addition to the above requirements, a bachelor’s degree with major in accounting or its equivalent; CPA license or a J.D. is required.
