Description
Dr. Lynam has been a member of the Department of Physical Therapy since 1989. She has been a practicing physical therapist for over 40 years. Since 2015, Dr. Lynam has been a full-time Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy on a Non-Tenure Track Appointment. She is responsible for teaching across the curriculum in the neurological, cardiopulmonary, and professional development and management courses. Outside of LIU, Dr. Lynam has been in home health physical therapy for over 30 years. She is a strong supporter and advocate for the New York Chapter of the APTA and has served in a variety of chapter positions. Dr. Lynam is the immediate past President of APTA New York and is currently serving on the APTA Finance Committee at the National Level. Dr. Lynam’s research interests focus on remediation of student performance and treatment of patients with neurological pathologies.
