About Us


For over 40 years, LIU Hudson has been offering graduate-level programs that increase career opportunities for residents of Westchester and Rockland Counties, the lower Hudson Valley, New York City, Connecticut, and beyond. Our thousands of alumni in turn contribute by creating additional opportunities for our communities in influential roles as varied as teachers, counselors, and CEO’s.

LIU Hudson currently offers over 70 graduate programs leading to masters degrees and advanced certificates in the following areas:

  • Mental Health Counseling (with CASAC* option)
  • Marriage and Family Therapy (with CASAC* option)

  • Pharmaceutics (with specializations in Cosmetic Science or Industrial Pharmacy)

Programs are offered at LIU Hudson’s locations on the campus of SUNY Purchase in Purchase, NY, in Rockland County, NY, and at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, as well as online and on-site for professional development at schools and at companies participating in our innovative MBA at Your Office program.

* CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) tracks, which are rapidly growing in demand, are available with both the M.S. in Mental Health Counseling and the M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Education Preparation Program Overview

LIU Hudson, a regional campus of Long Island University located on the grounds of Purchase College in Westchester County, offers graduate programs serving an adult student body drawn primarily from the surrounding counties. In keeping with the University's mission of providing excellence and access, LIU Hudson prepares caring, competent teachers and leaders. Whether working as teachers or administrators, LIU Hudson program completers possess the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to create positive learning environments as well as supportive classroom and school climates conducive to teaching and learning.
