Dr. Mo then joined the faculty at Western New England University College of Pharmacy (WNECOP) in Springfield, Massachusetts and served as an ICU clinical pharmacy specialist at Mercy Medical Center where she developed and established pharmacy services in the ICU. While at WNE, she was actively involved in research, scholarship, service, and education of doctor of pharmacy students. Dr. Mo came to LIU Pharmacy as associate professor in the fall of 2016. Dr. Mo’s research has focused on the area of critical care medicine, including pain/sedation/delirium practices, anticoagulation/coagulation management, and infectious diseases. During her time at WNE, various types of manuscripts including review articles, a case report, and an original research article have been published in well-reputed journals. With financial contributions from the College through internal Faculty Research grant, she has completed a large-scale, multidisciplinary, online survey study regarding delirium practices in the ICU. Additionally, she has conducted two research projects in collaboration with the ICU physicians. One of them, a multicenter, retrospective cohort study regarding continuous lidocaine infusion as adjunctive analgesia, has been submitted for publication. The other retrospective study evaluating the effect of modafinil on cognitive functions in ICU patients is currently in progress. Dr. Mo has a strong passion for clinical research and she enjoys mentoring pharmacy students pursuing ICU-related research projects.
