Scholarship for Disadvantaged Students (SDS)

Long Island University is one of only four institutions in the State of New York to be awarded a four-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under its revamped Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students (SDS) program. The graduate programs in speech-language pathology at LIU Post and LIU Brooklyn were selected for participation based on under-represented minority enrollment and primary-care career placement into medically underserved communities.

This new program can provide up to $15,000 per academic year to qualified full-time students and is renewable if funds are available and program criteria are met. For more information click here.
