Graduate Programs

All LIU Pharmacy Graduate Programs are now STEM Extension Optical Practical Training (OPT)
for F-1 Students

LIU Pharmacy offers graduate curricula leading to the Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Ph.D.) degree, and the Master of Science (M.S.) degree in the following fields, as registered with the New York State Education Department: Pharmaceutics (with specializations in Industrial Pharmacy and Cosmetic Science), Pharmacology/Toxicology, Pharmacy Administration and Drug Regulatory Affairs.

Requirements for graduate applications:

  • ​Official college transcripts from all schools attended, with cGPA of at least 3.0
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, majoring in pharmacy, chemistry, biology or a related science specialty
    • Biochemistry and physiology courses are prerequisites for the M.S. Pharmacology/Toxicology degree program
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Resume/CV
  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • GRE general test
    • V = flexible; Q = 148+; W = 2.5+
  • ​International students: TOEFL = 79+, IELTS = 6.5+
