Find a Tutor

We invite you to schedule your next appointment with the ARC by dropping in (Pratt 110) or by using our online appointment system.

To Schedule Your Appointment
If you come in to our center, you’ll just need to fill out our registration intake form, providing us with your contact info, including a valid email address and the courses for which you’d like a tutor. Additionally, if you give us your available hours, we’ll work with you to find an appointment that fits your schedule. You can also visit our online appointment scheduling system (coming soon) and choose an open session that is right for you.

All sessions are 60 minutes long and are held in the ARC (LLC, 4th floor) or online. Please have the following information available:

  • Student ID#
  • Course number (for example, Chem 121, Span 12, Psyc 150)
  • Assignment requirements
  • Specific questions related to your content

On Campus Sessions:The ARC is located right in the heart of the Brooklyn campus, on the first floor of the Pratt Building--across from the Library and Pharmacy Buildings, and near to the Louise B’69 and Leonard B. Riggio Cyber Café & Quizno’s.

Online Sessions:Log on to your computer, enter your Blackboard portal, and choose Online Tutoring, then your subject area. (Here’s an example of an online tutoring group session)

We encourage you to make an appointment at least a few days before an assignment due date.

Attendance Policy
Absence from 1 session (without notice) will result in the loss of weekly recurring scheduled appointments. We cannot guarantee available appointments once you have been dropped.

After three (3) absences from one-time sessions, you will be prohibited from making additional scheduled appointments for the remainder of the semester. Walk-in sessions may be available.

  • To cancel a session, you must give us at least 24 hours notice in person or by calling 718-488-1040. After two cancellations, your session will be dropped from our schedule.
  • If a student does not show up to the session, or was not available to be reached by telephone or email they will be considered a no show.
