Summer Day, Middle School, and Sports Camps at LIU Brooklyn
The Children’s Academy’s beautiful 12-acre campus offers ample room for minds to grow and have fun all summer.
Beginning June 24 and running for ten weeks, our programs for children ages 3 to 14 focus on creativity, academics and athletics on the downtown Brooklyn campus of one of America’s finest private universities.
With offerings including architecture, Capoeira, chess, Chinese, circus arts, hip-hop, movie-making, origami, robotics, theater arts, Spanish, video game design and swimming, LIU has one of Brooklyn’s most engaging day camps.
Weeklong Blackbird Sports Camps in basketball, fitness, swimming, and water polo — under the expert guidance of NCAA Division I coaches — allow athletes ages 7 to 14 to excel in their chosen sport.
Our new Five to Eight Middle School Summer Camp -- Rock Band Academy, Theater Camp, Game Design Camp, Movie-Making Camp, Hackathon Camp -- create an inclusive studio environment for fifth to eighth graders working in teams over the course of a week.
In producing a provocative performance, a distinctive visual construct or a complex digital project, campers will inhabit a studio environment where they can cut, glue, staple, sew, draw, spray paint, model, code, program, compose, or realize motion graphics; and have access to a performance space where they can dance, act, stretch, lift, meditate, and film.
