Description
Robert DiGregorio is Senior Director of Pharmacotherapy Services at The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) and a full Professor at Long Island University’s Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy. He is also the Residency Program Director for both the PGY1 and Ambulatory Care PGY2 programs at TBHC. Dr. DiGregorio is a board certified ambulatory care pharmacotherapy specialist (BCACP) and practices in a series of Collaborative Drug Therapy Management clinics at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. He has over 24 years of experience as a pharmacist, having worked in a variety of settings, including: clinical research, pediatrics, emergency medicine, disaster management, pharmacy administration, ambulatory care, and academia. He has published in the pharmacy, nursing, and medical literature; including serving as an editor of two editions of a textbook. He has been an invited speaker to hundreds of presentations throughout the nation and has presented numerous poster and platform presentations at local, regional, and national conferences.
Dr. DiGregorio is an active member of the New York State Council of Health-system Pharmacists (NYSCHP) at the state and local level. He participates in both the Long Island and Royal Counties Chapters of NYSHP and is currently serving his second term on the Board of Directors of NYSCHP as Director of Pharmacy Practice. He has been a leader in the development of Collaborative Drug Therapy Management in New York State and has represented his colleagues on the ASHP PPMI Ambulatory Care Consensus Panel. Locally, Dr. DiGregorio co-founded the New York City Regional Pharmacy Residency Conference, held annually at Long Island University since 2006. Dr. DiGregorio founded the PGY1 pharmacy residency and implemented PGY2 programs in Ambulatory Care and Infectious Diseases.
