Mental Health Counseling

The Psychological Services Center has counselors’ on-campus to assist students. Counseling services are offered confidentially to Long Island University students during the academic year. Students may also be referred to an off-campus professional for long-term care.

Some of the concerns that the Center addresses with students are:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Substance Abuse
  • Self-Esteem
  • Eating Disorders
  • Sexual Assault
  • Gender Identity
  • Domestic Violence
  • Suicidal Ideation
  • Grief & Loss

To schedule an initial consultation with a counselor, email psc2021@liupsc.com or visit the Center’s website. In the event of an emergency, contact 911 or the Department of Public Safety 24/7/365 at 718-488-1078 who may coordinate with on-campus and off-campus mental health professionals.
