Sports Management

New York City is home to one of the largest and most iconic sports markets in the world. LIU students their degree while studying in a top market within a $500 billion industry.

The Bachelors in Sports Management program trains students in all aspects of sports management and places them at the doorstep of the most successful and lucrative businesses in the sports world. Students will gain a foundational knowledge in a variety of disciplines, including business, marketing, communications and management, along with industry specific skills such as representation, administration, branding, event planning and public relations.

Students can gain exceptional career experience before graduating through the premier internship connections and the University’s global alumni network of 265,000. Shark Nation is well represented in the sports world, as LIU alumni have risen to the heights of the sports industry, landing destination jobs at global companies and top leagues, including the NFL, NBA, NHL, ESPN, NBC Sports, MSG Network, Lagardère Sports and more.

From Yankee Stadium to Madison Square Garden, LIU students enjoy access to globally renowned venues, franchises and companies. Most of the top agencies, media outlets, and professional leagues maintain offices in Manhattan, only one stop away from LIU’s campus in Downtown Brooklyn. Additionally, many of the world’s top events come to New York City, including the Super Bowl, the Stanley Cup Finals, the World Series, World Cup qualifiers and the U.S. Open, which is held each year in Queens.
