Dear LIU Students,
I hope you are enjoying your last few weeks of winter break and are preparing for another safe and successful semester. The past two years have challenged us in many ways and we know that the ongoing pandemic continues to cause unprecedented and unexpected hardships—many of which have put a financial strain on you and your families.
Long Island University, in accordance with the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP), will continue distributing over $10 million of new Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund awards to students in need of emergency assistance. These grants are intended to help support impacted students in overcoming any setbacks encountered in pursuing their LIU degree. All degree-seeking students at the undergraduate and graduate levels may apply for these grants.
In order to be considered for funding, please submit this brief request form. The University will be evaluating applicant eligibility and begin processing awards after the beginning of the spring 2022 semester, so kindly submit your request as soon as possible.
Please contact your Success Coach for additional information or questions.
Sincerely,
Michael Berthel
