LIU Global Tuition & Fees

When you choose an education that’s right for you and your goals, it is worth every penny, and Global College is committed to helping you find ways to afford university.

One of the best ways to budget for your future is to create a financial plan, which will act as a roadmap during your studies and beyond. Financial aid will cover a portion of your tuition, fees, and room and board, and your financial plan will help you determine how to cover the remaining cost.

Additional Expenses

Insurance
Every student is responsible for obtaining a health insurance policy that covers the countries in which Global College programming takes place. The University offers International Travel Insurance with competitive rates through Chubb. This insurance is available through LIU at a rate of $63 per month. Students may elect a different provider, but policies that cover trip cancellation, trip interruption, trip delay, medical expenses, medical evacuation, and baggage protection at a minimum are suggested.


Airfare
Students are responsible for getting to the program and back home at end of semester. Global College covers all program-related travel within the semester.

Books
Estimated book costs by center/program

    Asia-Pacific Australia: No cost (all readings are provided for free as electronic copies, with hard copies provided as needed/appropriate)
    Costa Rica: Approximately $50
    Europe: Cost will vary
    New York:  No cost for Global College, but cost will vary for LIU Brooklyn/LIU Post

Estimated Personal Expenses (as recommended by each Center based on USD currency)

    Asia-Pacific Australia: $10 -75 per week, depending on personal lifestyle choices. Please note: Indonesia is comparatively cheap, and Australia and Fiji are comparatively expensive.
    Costa Rica: $35- $50 per week for personal needs, travel and recreation.
    Europe: Expenses will vary
    New York:  Expenses will vary

Payment Plans LIU offers convenient payment plans to help students manage their tuition charges while remaining in good financial standing with the University. You can sign up for a payment plan through your MyLIU account.

Scholarships and Grants

LIU Merit-Based Scholarships
Applicants are evaluated for a merit-based scholarship. If awarded, Merit scholarships are renewable each academic year to students who remain in good standing.  If you have any questions, please, contact Admissions at 718-488-1011.
