New Student Orientation

Whether you are a first-year, transfer, or graduate student, New Student Orientation serves as the introduction to Long Island University campus community. Each New Student Orientation program provides an overview of the opportunities and resources available to all students at LIU.

Throughout New Student Orientation, Orientation Leaders serve as the main point of contact for all new students. These friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic upperclassmen provide new students with the ultimate orientation experience. Along with Orientation Leaders, the LIU Promise team and other campus faculty and administrators will be able to ensure all of your questions are answered.

A New Student Orientation fee is automatically applied to each student's account upon class registration, regardless of registration for or participation in New Student Orientation. This fee is non-refundable. The fee for First-Year Student Orientation is $275.00; the fee for Transfer Student Orientation and Graduate Student Orientation is $75.00.
