Francesco Ciummo

Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Dr. Ciummo completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University. After graduation, he completed his PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. Going into his PGY-1 year, he had a strong interest in critical care due to his experiences during rotations. Subsequently, he went on to pursue a PGY-2 specialty residency in Critical Care at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Ciummo is currently an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at LIU Pharmacy. He oversees the care of patients within the neurosurgical intensive care unit at Mount Sinai West in Manhattan, NY. He is a board certified critical care pharmacist. His areas of interest include sedation/analgesia, hemorrhagic stroke, and hemostatic agents.
