Josephine T. Wright, PhD, RD, CDN, RDH

Josephine Wright has been a registered dietitian nutritionist for more than 18 years. She has experience in corporate wellness, counseling, and consulting.  In her first job as a nutrition professional, Dr. Wright was the project manager for Richard Simmons’s website, which included developing meal plans and educational materials, creating recipes, and managing the development team.  She consulted with companies to develop wellness programs including Goldman Sachs and Brookhaven National Laboratory.  Experience with these companies included developing and implementing educational programs, moderating cholesterol and hypertension groups, food service changes, and fitness center programs. Dr. Wright worked with the Senior Advisor Institute to educate insurance brokers regarding nutritional needs of geriatric populations.  Additionally, she worked with other dietitians to prepare manuscripts for popular publications.  

Dr. Wright received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from C.W. Post/ Long Island University in 1999, a Master of Science degree in Nutrition with a concentration in Exercise Physiology from C.W. Post/ Long Island University in 2006, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Science from the Palmer School/ LIU Post in 2016.  Dr. Wright brings her experience to the classroom, teaching many courses in the Nutrition and Dietetics program.
