Description

Valerie Revolus is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of nursing experience working with individuals across the lifespan in mental health. She is the owner of Moving In New Directions Psychiatry mental health private practice. She specializes in treating depression, mood disorders, anxiety, and ADHD.

She is a Doctor of Nursing graduate Chamberlain University with an expected graduation date of May 2025. She has an MS in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Hunter College, City University of New York, (2021), BS with a major in Nursing degree from Long Island University (2014) and a BS with a major in Health Science in Informatics (2012). She is also certified as Perinatal Mental Health Clinician specializing in reproductive psychiatry. Valerie also serves as a faculty professor at Long Island University for the school of nursing.

She is known for her passion for educating /teaching about mental health to help reduce the stigma, particularly in communities of color. She uses social media as a platform to help normalize the conversation about mental health, creating an impact on thousands worldwide. She also serves as the Mental Health Committee Chair of the Greater NYC Black Nurses Association.
