Research Opportunities
Long Island University, College of Veterinary Medicine, will be highly focused on engaging students in academic research. Faculty have active research programs highly suited for student involvement, much of which is integrated with existing programs at LIU Pharmacy.
Research emphasis areas interface with existing LIU strengths, including Pharmaceutical Sciences, Precision Medicine, Public Health, and Business & Entrepreneurship. CVM faculty are strategically clustered into research teams to promote interdisciplinary research between cluster areas, existing LIU faculty and strategic external partners. Additional support faculty and staff include pathologists, postdoctoral fellows, technicians, graduate students and undergraduates who will support cluster research activity.
