Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium

Built upon three acres of property, this newly renovated multi-purpose stadium is home to LIU football, field hockey, and men’s and women’s lacrosse. Standing as one of the most modern and advanced facilities on campus, Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium boasts a seating capacity of over 6,000, with 816 seatbacks installed on the home sideline.


Esports Arena

Weekdays, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

LIU is proud to have two state-of-the-art Esports Arenas. The Post Campus Esports Arena features 30 gaming computers, game chairs, and game consoles. The Brooklyn Campus Esports Arena is located in the lobby of Conolly Hall and boasts 50 gaming computers, game chairs, and game consoles. Collectively, both Esports arenas have an impressive 37 large slat-screen TVs and specialty game day lighting. LIU Esports facilities have been recognized to be among the most impressive in the region.


North Shore Equestrian Center

LIU is the only institution on Long Island with an on-campus riding facility. The center has been in operation for nearly 50 years and allows for the Sharks to host several Intercollegiate Horse Show Association shows on campus. With four outdoor rings with grass and dirt paddocks, along with an indoor barn, LIU is able to practice and compete year-round in any condition.


Pratt Recreation Center

Monday - Thursday, 3 p.m. – 11 p.m.

The $18.5 million Jeanette and Edmund T. Pratt, Jr. Recreation Center is a 77,000-square-foot facility containing a modern, 3,000 seat gymnasium with three full-size basketball and volleyball courts, an elevated Mondo-X indoor jogging track, an eight-lane recreational and competitive swimming pool, weight room, fitness room, and locker rooms. It features a state-of-the-art Human Performance Lab as well as “smart classrooms” equipped with fiber-optic Internet access for use by the Campus’ health and physical education program.


Robert Blitz Field

Robert Blitz Field is home to the LIU Women's Rugby team. This on-campus field makes LIU one of the only programs on the east coast to have such a facility dedicated to women's rugby. The all-grass playing surface allows for the game to be played in its purest form while also providing as much safety to the student-athletes as possible.


Soccer Park

Hours vary

The Soccer Park’s natural grass playing surface is one of the best pitches in the region.The stadium features seatbacks in the stands to allow for the most comfortable game day viewing experience for fans. On the sidelines, team benches are housed inside of Kwik Goal Elite Shelters to protect players and coaches from the elements. On the field, mobile goals were replaced during the most recent renovation with international-style Pro Premier World Competition Goals that are used at the highest level of competition.


Softball Complex

The LIU Softball complex is the southern-most athletic facility on campus. The stadium offers bleacher seating in left field with excellent sight lines to catch all the action. Modern, brick dugouts are situated down the first and third-base lines to protect players and coaches from the elements.


Tennis Center

The LIU Tennis Center houses six courts next to the Pratt Recreation Center, and an additional 12 located at the Tennis and Golf Center located on the west side of the Baseball Field.

Wellness Center

Everyday, 9 a.m. – 11 p.m.

The largest building project on the Brooklyn campus' history, the $45 million, 114,000 square foot Wellness Center opened in January 2006. Located at the corner of Ashland and DeKalb avenues, the Wellness Center features a 2,500-seat arena, an NCAA regulation-size swimming pool, featuring a hydraulic floor for aqua therapy, a state-of-the-art fitness center and weight room. In addition, two outdoor tennis courts and a running track sit atop the roof, along side of DeKalb avenue.

Athletic Multipurpose Fields

The Brooklyn Campus Athletic Field is the newest athletic facility at LIU. Sitting atop the LIU garage and adjacent to the Wellness Center, the field features cutting edge synthetic turf installed by Landtek. The field is designed to host Division I College softball with the ability to also host soccer, flag football, and other field sports.
