Alumni and Legacy Scholarship

Are you a graduate returning to Long Island University to pursue another degree? Or do you have a close family member who graduated from LIU?

We're pleased to offer two different award opportunities to graduate and undergraduate students based on alumni status. These annual awards of $500 are renewable for up to four years. 

Eligibility Requirements

Graduate Alumni Scholarship

  • Available to alumni pursuing their first master’s degree or second bachelor’s degree
  • Applicant must be enrolled in nine credits per semester

Legacy Alumni Scholarship

  • Available to grandchildren, children, or siblings of alumni
  • Available for undergraduate degrees only
  • Applicant must be enrolled in twelve credits per semester

For general admissions contact information, please visit here. Prospective students must have formally applied to LIU to be considered for these scholarships (though they need not be accepted). Please note that scholarship applicants may only be considered for one of these awards.
