Title IX Trainings
In an effort to train Long Island University community members, the University is a member of the SUNY Student Conduct Institute and conducts annual mandatory training of all faculty and staff.

SUNY Student Conduct Institute
The SUNY Student Conduct Institute (SUNYSCI) provides in-depth live and digital training to student conduct officials, hearing officers, Title IX officials and other college personnel in due process, trauma-informed investigations, and adjudications, questioning and weighing of evidence, and other crucial best practices in the investigation and conduct process that comply with relevant case law, Title IX guidance, the Clery Act, and New York Education Law 129-B.
Member institutions utilize the SUNY Conduct Institute to provide their staff with training “on how to fairly and equitably investigate and adjudicate conduct violations and disclosures.” These training include “due process, trauma-informed investigations and adjudications, questioning and weighing of evidence, and other crucial best practices in the investigation and conduct process that comply with case law, Title IX, the Clery Act, and other relevant federal and state laws.”
The SUNY Conduct Institute provides a dedicated webpage to assist member institutions in complying with Section 106.45(b) of the 2020 Final Title IX Rules posting requirement. Anti-Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Training
Additionally, all Long Island University employees complete Title IX training during their onboarding and once annually through Human Resources.
